True Caller:
Truecaller is a great app to find out names of callers from unknown numbers. It has a database of numbers mapped to contact names so you can see who is calling you even if they’re not in your contact list.
Before moving forward, let’s just see how it works: Whenever someone installs the truecaller app, they are basically uploading their contact list to the truecaller database. This way, the database keeps growing and truecaller shows information like contact name from the database corresponding to any call from a particular number in their database. Note that numbers outside the truecaller database cannot be mapped.
Now most people understand the security issues behind this and also have major privacy concerns. If you’re one of them, then you might want to remove your details from the truecaller database. Just follow the steps below to get yourself unlisted from truecaller’s database:
